The Bedford Hotel is appreciated for its prime location, convenient to attractions like Covent Garden and Oxford Street, with multiple underground stations nearby. Many guests found the buffet breakfast lovely, including vegan options and outdoor seating. The rooms are generally comfortable, though some guests have noted that the street-side rooms can be a bit noisy with the windows open. The reception area and restaurant had a pleasant vibe. The staff was fab, and I must mention how quickly they resolved a few minor issues I had. I found them friendly, attentive, and hardworking.
I found the room quite small with a very cramped bathroom. The hotel is in the Very Low Emission Zone and Congestion Charge area. I wish the hotel had pointed this out to future guests driving, so they could prepare documents ahead of time to avoid extra fees for driving to the hotel.

Excellent Stay Near Attractions

clean roomwarm temperatureconvenient location
The location is convenient to Kings Cross. The theater district is also within a comfortable walk. The room was quite clean. I appreciated the warm temperature, especially during my snowy stay.
The room lacked air conditioning, so a fan had to compensate.
Dining

The English breakfast includes a variety of options. Baine-maries are replenished consistently, even near closing. Fruit and pastries are also available. The breakfast service provided many selections.

uneven experience with some significant drawbacks

faulty doorbreakfast quality
The room i got was not great. the bathroom door didn't close properly, i found that to be quite annoying. also, there weren't enough outlets near the bed, so charging my phone overnight was a hassle. Extension cord was needed. plus, the breakfast was disappointing!

mixed feelings about this stay

ineffective thermostatpoor soundproofing
the room was alright, i guess. the thermostat seemed permanently set to 'sauna'. i asked about it, but apparently, it was a hotel-wide 'feature'. plus, the soundproofing was practically non-existent. i could hear every conversation in the hallway. guess earplugs should be a must-have packing item.

Adequate Stay with Minor Issues

clean roomsgreat breakfastsmall bathroommissing ac
I am so happy with how clean the rooms are! The staff are also very friendly. Breakfast was so great. I also found the location to be awesome, it's close to everything!
The bathroom was small, though it had a bathtub. The shower had a curtain only 10 cm from my body, not ideal. AC was also not included in the room, oh no! The room had a small fan for circulating warm air.
